I have both the part 1 and 2 ISOs, and they are in the same computer folder. I've finished the entire game play on disk 1, so i now see the part that says, 'please insert Resident Evil 4 disk 2.' I go onto dolphin, click 'switch disk' and click on the second ISO. Whenever i do this though, it just tells me that I've inserted the wrong disc, and to please insert Resident Evil 4 disc 2.

I'm not sure what the problem is since the ISO is the correct one, so I would appreciate any help. The only problem i can think of is that i got the ISOs from two different places, but since they are both ISO format that shouldn't be the problem.

You need to make your own iso with your own disk, and the 2 Cd are in the same jacket. Start the game with the CD2 not the CD1 and use the same save.

No, I don't have a disk (the physical kind). I got them in a.rar file format and ripped them with 7zip, so they are ISO format now.

I can run the 2nd part, but it says that there is no save files. Basically, The two disks run fine by themselves, but i can't get my save files to move from disk 1 onto disk 2. If this doesn't make sense please let me know and I can try to explain better. Trying to play RE4 on the most recent stable version of Dolphin for OSX but after a while of playing the game cuts to about 50% framerate and stays that way until I save, close, reopen, and reload. Saving state, closing, reopening, and then loading state doesn't help either (retains slow down upon loading state). Only restarting and then loading an actual saved game (where you use the typewriter in the game) will do the trick. I looked at the Dolphin wiki for the game and there was something listed in the testing section about 'Every time a code cache clearing occurs, the framerate permanently drops below 15 FPS'.

If you have any multidisc games such as Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes or Resident Evil, you will want to double check the title of each ISO in Multigame ISO Creator to be sure they are different, ie.Metal Gear Solid: TS Disc 1 and Metal Gear Solid: TS Disc 2.
